Paris....what can you say.....??????

 

 

 

 

As you can see we are adding more and more photos AND we are exercising restraint! We wandered around the city today, getting on and off the metro and every corner had something beautiful, notable, creative or quirky……the homeless guys all along the banks of the Seine, with their very civilized tent villages under the bridges and wine glasses on trays! One guy even had a cat tied up on a leash. It seemed to be perfectly happy….I would be too if I was a cat living beside the Seine in Paris! The school building with amazing architecture and gargoyle features, the perpendicular garden up the side of a building, and on and on and on……..The fallacy is that Parisians are unhelpful and rude. We’ve experienced spontaneous friendliness and helpfulness in response to our hilarious attempts at the language!!! NOTE that by the end of today our accent had improved immensely and we are gaining confidence. Two days of this city and we haven’t even touched the surface let alone scratched it.
Tomorrow we venture out of Paris and will try and locate John and Jennifer on the moving target of a canal boat, somewhere in Burgundy. May not blog for a few days depending on the availability of a network. Love you all and wish you were here…….xx
