That's London for ya! Iconic as eh??? A great deal of successful travelling is to do with developing the ability to wait easily - not easy! However, knew we were in the 'old country' when we arrived last night, Barbara (of the EU passport) was ushered speedily through immigration while Rod of the common or garden variety NZ passport (albeit with ancestory visa status) had to languish in a queue of multudinous proportions, after waiting for 30 minutes Barbara indicated to an official that it wasn't fair and we were tired - miraculously it was suggested that she go back into the immigration queue, extract Roderick and bring him to the fore, thereby getting him ushered through also speedily......!!!!! Good idea ....and so he was.
Don't know if it's jetlag or what, BUT it gets light here at 3.30am, lying awake until 6.30am feels a bit like a throw back to the time when we used to have to lie in bed saying "can I get up now?" Tomorrow....off to see the Queen......and put out a few more job feelers.....lots of love xxxx
